Well this didn't even make a "For Sale" thread. This car's new owner pm'ed me and we did a deal on what I consider to be car that's in best original condition on this forum.

It was sad to see it drive off, but I know he loves it so that makes me feel better inside :D

I wish him all the very best, and I'll be on the end of the phone if you need me! :duffer:

All the best.

Robert.

Such a shame you got rid of her, such a nice car. But like you say, 3's a crowd hope she gets well treated!

Fantastic to see a great zed go so quickly, i'm sure it was very sad to see that go, cos it was absolutely lovely :D But it just shows what a nice car that was :)

Really nice to meet you mate! Funny getting to your place just to find the were suddenly five of us chatting bikes lol :)

I promise to look after her lol, wanted to take off my shoes and drive in my slippers this morning to keep it clean hehe.

Not to be too smug, but I'm really bloody pleased for myself lol, trying not to get too overexcited in case I tempt fate, better find me some Z meets to attend again!

Cheers :D

congrats Russ. Top purchase ! How you liking the slicktop compared to the 2+2 ?

Cheers guys :)

The shorty slicktop is a completely different driving experience to my lwb. I much prefer it, turns in faster, seems less weighty when you're trying to haul it up. Marginally less stable at speed maybe, but because it feels lighter it doesn't seem so dramatic. Can't wait to go to the Combe in it next year to see how it compares.

In an ideal world I'd have one of each, keep seeing a sunny day and thinking "roof out, roof out!" then realising I can't :)

Also Paul and Legrath confirmed it's got VVT :) BTW I got that radiator in, 12pm we started the car again, 30 min drive, I was in bed by 3.30 this morn lol. Cheers for sorting out the parts for that. I can confirm if you have skinny arms like me you can change a rad without having to get underneath it at all!

does it still smell of petrol ?

Yeah, my mate messaged me this morning confirming he was able to drive it to work :D So everyone's a winner!

Paul, no not that I noticed, I think you cured it ta :) I do remember a smell at some point, but probably more the car warming up/running rich to start and me reversing through the emissions :) I'll keep an eye on it.

Rob, so you don't need to worry, do you know the anti diesel thing matey had fitted in the fuel filler neck, Paul noticed that it was a little high and stopped the cap from going in fully it seemed :) Have removed it for now, just gotta remember when I'm at the pumps that it's not a diesel haha :)
