A timely reminder for anyone looking for a zed, although I am repeating what said before, be very very careful.What looks like a nice shiny car can be a money pit or worse a death trap.

 

Below is a one picture and 3 links to a white UK spec auto for sale for almost 6K with 99k miles I looked at this week to assess for a customer.

To be honest it looked as good in the flesh as it does in the picture`s but a little over two hours later I had a very different opinion of it.

 

The dealer is suppling this car with 12 months Mot.. quite how I am not sure as the list below is just a small selection of what I found wrong with it, so beware a white zed for sale in the Northampton area.

 

Front and rear disc`s worn out

Front o/s caliper seized

Front tension rods worn out

Hicas rack worn out (excessive play)

Front bumber broken in 3 places

Air con no gas pressure

Air con disply corrupted

Rear exhaust boxes rotten

Auto box oil dirty and burnt smell

brake fluid on minimum

No water in radiator (at all!)

Det circuit failed

 

There was evidence of an engine out job (why??) with wrong and missing bolts all over the place, scarey that it has been done so slap dash!

 

This car has been very poorly treated, it is criminal that car`s like this are been sold as in mint condition!!! BE CAREFUL

 

(I might add I did not recommend this one to the customer!)

Gotta give my 2p worth here before this thread ends up like many others in the past, a bleedin war Zone !!

My experience of Jeff early this year has been very good, he worked on my car very well and very hard, a minor glitch on way home and he travelled miles in really bad weather to see me and rectify, no problems since, dealt with him on phone and emails, no probs at all, in person a really nice helpful guy, now i don't know the full stories surrounding these problems BUT consider this, like most of us, he has family, wife, kids, pets other cars etc etc, all things in life that can throw a bloody big spanner in the works, a time comes when you have to say to yourself, sod it, i've got to sort this out in my life first otherwise everything around me falls apart, which in this case yes could be his business, now as Jeff being a member of this forum for quite some time usually has a reputation for being the opposite of what's been described here, there must be a reason... anyone of those listed above perhaps, similar thing little while ago about b12 andy, it all came through in the end, a slight problem in his life clearly prevented him from being his norm, i know all too well what it's like and damaging to be slated, especially in my case all i was trying to do was help and get someone out of a fix !! but there you go.

This type of shit pisses me off.........

 

How often do I have a moan......never!!

 

But twice in as many weeks I feel the need to have a grumble!

 

I have never had a problem with Jeff or his work, he has done me favours in the past and sorted things out on my Z extra to the job he was paid for, which I may add are far, far cheaper and more reliable than main dealers.

 

Some people om the forum are waiting for Jeff and Zedworld to fail as they seem to enjoy others suffering!

 

At least Jeff has got of his **** and had a go at building a business up from the ground, fair play to him. I wish I had the time, know how and contacts to do this, also juggle his main job and family life.....

 

And as for 'certain individuals comments' saying that Jeff's customer service is crap;

 

How many garages do you know that are open till 9 and 10pm at night to answer your question or concerns, erm............NONE!

 

So when you call him leaving messages at 11:45pm saying that his customer service is shit then you need to have a good look at how unreasonable your being and what an **** you are. Try main dealers and see if they'll take your call at 5:30pm nevemind 11:45pm.

 

I mean would you be working at 11:45pm unless on shift work and you had slept all day! Really, 11:45pm and expect him to be working, FFS get real.....

 

What is it with some of you winging/moaning/grumbling/****all better to do people......you make me sick....

 

Jeff was reporting a 'shed' of a Z doing others a favour so they wouldn't fall into a trap and buy the dodgy motor.....So the winging few slap him down for it.....NICE!!

Like Smithy I too have had dealings with Jeff - No problems, no complaints.

 

You may have had issues with his work that he carried out for you in the past, but this post was a general warning about L476 BKR.

 

I belive this car was being assessed for a 200SX guy who is planning to convert to the dark side.

Now this bloke(or whoever) should be glad he hasnt shelled out 6 Grand for a moneypit.

 

If whoever bought it without Jeffs help, they would quickly start to think Z32's are unrealible costly pieces of shit - which we all know is not true.

 

But, if he comes back to this thread looking for input or advice and sees the amount of venom and hatred flying around on this post - what is he going to think.

 

Would he feel like commenting on Jeffs service for fear of being called a c*nt or a f*cking newbie just stirring up shit?

 

Or maybe we just dont give a f*ck and will happly get a Z topic locked for off topic reasons(YES you may have had issues with Jeff - but whats it got to do with this Z assessment?).

 

If you want to debate this then by all means raise a new thread - keep it all in there.

 

If the person who asked for this Z to be assessed posts on here saying that this Z was in fact a minter, and Jeff sold him a dog for 7 Grand I'll retract all I have typed!
