Does anyone know for certain if the TT alternator is the same as the NA ? I have found some used ones advertised but they say that they are TT only ? Appreciate any advice. My bearings are on the way out:mad: Thanks Guys.

I think they are different mate. I just got one for my dad and i made sure i got a N/A one, to be sure. I got one off Slick Pete, it maybe worth trying him first :)

I have fitted one from a TT to an NA without problem, the the power output is slightly higher meaning it charges the battery quicker I guess.

TT and NA alternators are the same Size wise.

The TT one produces 10 Amps more at full output.

Probably needed to power the turbos:D

Pete is right apart from the tubby bit  LOL

IIRC NA 85Amp and TT 95Amp

It's all the extra power needed to run the crapy stock turbo gauge.
