This is Millau Viaduct, it is the Highest road bridge in the world, it was built by the french, but designed and engineered by the british. and I really dont think I could drive across it. :eek::hurl:

Yeh, this has been on my list of things to do since watching the construction on Discovery (or something like that) a couple of years ago.

Long drive through France to get there though.

The architect (Norman Foster) also designed the "Gherkin" in London

Gherkin is my favourite piece of modern architecture in this country :)

 

Construction of the bridge was fantastic to watch

i,v driven accross it a few times in the lorry and its spectacular ,only do that route in the summer tho as i didnt fancy trying to cross it in high winds

Me and a couple of mates have been talking about taking the bikes over this for a little while now, proper boys road trip.:dance:

will be doing that later on in the year when we have to go see her mother :headvswal

it is an amazing bridge. been across it and you can see for miles.
