Ive just been offered an £800 double din touchscreen all singing-all dancing head unit for £150.

The thing is, how do i go about mounting it to the car? Do the stock cd player brackets fit or are there aftermarket ones available?

That's a damn good mate's rate either way!!

I do likw those dc2's though....sexxayyy...

Your new cd player should fit no problems, you might need to get an ISO (i think that is what they are called) Lead so it converts nissan OEM to your cd player, just unscrew you current headunit and install the new one :) simple as, oh yea you will need to get a radio connector etc. Im like 70% sure the new one will fit inside the current one

I don't think it will fit straight in, it's twice as thick bud. You may have to trim the small bar that runs between the two slots. If you need a practice piece you know where to get one.;)

Are you guys talking about the plastic bar on the centre console cover type bit, im not too worried about that just now. Im wanting to get the unit to sit and work first before i go modifying a centre console!

Well yes im on about the middle bit

No, it WON'T fit straight in. It'll sit at the wrong angle if you simply bolt the existing OEM brackets to the HU. You'll need to spend some time drilling holes and setting it at the correct angle, height and depth. Took me all day pretty much. to get mine spot-on. I made templates etc after purchasing a 2-din fascia from Z32-zone for my Alpine touchscreen.

the stock is 2 single units with a gap between, not a double unit. so ignoring the plastic bar in the middle, i dont think the side brackets will bolt on properly. fairly sure there was a proper double din bracket available on latter models.

didnt someone do this recently and buy the proper brackets and complete double din vent pannel?

aha , there you are , it was funkysi i was thinking of
