Went to a cracking car show on Sunday in Harlech. Weather was bang on.
Met up with Jason who was on the forum ages ago but sold his PC (probably best thing he could've done LMFAO) who comes from Barmouth and a mate of Tony LACK300.
He's got a well sorted import Twin Tub with Aston Martin brakes...oh and a rather clean engine bay unlike mine!
About 200 or so cars there which wasn't bad for the first year.
CruiseNorthWales were there and I took some nice pics but I can't sort them out yet.
Only two Zeds mine and Jasons which was nice as they received a fair bit of attention.
At the end of the afternoon the police closed the roads off in Harlech town so the whole show of cars could cruise through the town, it was MAD! Great laugh burning through them country lanes and then back round to the show ground. I had a Sapphire Cossie behind me and the noise of his dump valve was awesome. Really loud as we had the tops off!
Definately going next year as it's nice to see such a mixture of motors and not just Japs.
This car show was organised by a guy called Chris Walker who owns an Escort Cossie and works and lives in Harlech. He arranged this show to raise money for charities in memorial of a lad called Keiron Richard Wilkes who was killed in a tragic accident not long back. His girlfriend (who was in the car with him when they crashed) was at the show and is now in a wheelchair!!!
What I was told by Jason is that Kieron was driving his much loved Subura and started to overtake three cars when the third car suddenly turned right to go into a caravan site. Kieron swerved to avoid the car but hit a wall killing himself and leaving his girlfriend severly injured.
Money raised from the show was going towards North Wales Air Ambulance Appeal, Gobowen Hospital and local charities.
DEWI where were you bud? LMFAO
You're as bad as me! Your mates told me and Mrs T that you walked back from Bangor you looney!!!
