I trying to express an interest in an item in the 'items for sale ' section, but I don't seem to have the necessary access why?

Tis true bud, you need to be a sub'd member to use the for sale section, however as said above it is well worth the £20 :)

hes a sxoc'er not really worth paying £20 to buy one master cylinder is it?!!

Not really very nice for the poor old sxoc'ers, when this forum used to be in its old format and would go down quite often for days on end the sxoc gave us our own forum on there to use so that we werent all left isolated.

A few years later we repay that debt by telling them to pay up of feck off?

ime on a few forums bud, car and non car related and theres a few out there that give you a lot less for free..your a long standing member and user of this place, would you send money and buy off a reg user with 1 or 2 posts or buy an item and find its fvked then the user never logs on again and does the same trick on another forum:( plus what and who pays for the up-keep of this place, ime on committee and you'll be amazed how much it cost to keep the place alive and provide a free site for the likes of your friend to use.hth;)

give teh fella your email whos selling im sure something can be arranged.

At the end of the day, Rules are Rules, and cannot be waved no matter how insignificant.

I quite agree with restrictions on 'selling' through the forum, but I'm trying to buy which can only be considered as supporting the forum and it's payed up members who are selling.

And as for the £20 membership fee(which is quite reasonable BTW) I'm already a paid up member of the SXOC and TVR OC so to have to pay for the Z OC, GTR OC etc a plus any others that may hold an interest for me or could be a good source of parts and info for my SX track car project the £20's start to add up. Whether it's worth in excess of £100 per year to join various OC's just to access restricted functions of their forums is doubtful.

But as previously said rules are rules whether they be right or wrong.

im not going to get into the argument, but i do want to say you've got a good attitude Budd :)

Hey Mate

Thanks for that, at the end of the day we belong to these sites because we love cars,I’m a long time car and bike enthusiast (I’ve got the scars to prove it) so I frequent quite a few car/bike sites and at the moment I’m building a trackday SX so lots of stock Z32 parts are an upgrade when applied to an SX ie std wheels, Z32 AFM (which I already have fitted) and these are the parts that tend to be upgraded by Z32 owners (wheels , brakes etc) as they to search for more performance, so where better to search for budget upgrades for my poverty spec SX, I’m hoping to be at JAE so maybe I’ll catch up with some Z32 owners there. :D

Yeah budd, you are taking this really well, but lets just be clear. NO one is saying you cannot buy, the only problem is that you cant post in the for sale forum as your a Registered User, so if the seller was to offer you an e mail addy or a phone number, then you could still buy, HTH. ;)

that's why being creative with my wanted posts may pay dividends, if I see something I'm interested in on the for sale section I could ask specfically for that item in the wanted section requesting the seller contact me directly .

I'm still after a non ABS BMC and a pair of std 8-5" rear wheels but it's not urgent I need to get it through it's MOT this week so until that's accomplished successfully I won't be buying anything, when it is I can then source the last few bits I need before I can to see what it really can do, may even surprise a few Z32 TT's;)

I may subscribe, but as I said these subs can add up, I'm already paying both TVR and SX oc subs add the ZX and GTR oc's and it's over £100 per year, we'll see maybe stump upthe cash:wack:
