So where do you all recomend this sort of work gets carried out?

Also what sort of prices should i be paying? I guess a decent manual box with all kit would be about 700 bar but what sort of labour cost and timescale should i expect?

Also surely the diff is different so how would this affect the car and also the vacuum lines coming off the balance bar are different on an auto than a manual as are the turbos and cams which i understand are set up for low-mid-range torque on an auto.

Also if i change the box i can still only run 14.5 psi (1 bar) safely so i might aswell change the turbos hadent i?

God knows im confusing myself now!

PLEASE I NEED HELP!

I suppose so but don't forget that if you go for more power you'll need an uprated clutch and some of them are big $$$$$

I'm wanting new turbos and injectors myself but the auto box won't take much more so I'll be doing the same next year (if it lasts that long!)

Does an auto box have much trade-in value if still in working order?

i dont know but i thnk a manual conversion is the only way to go.

I like my auto box but uprating them is BIG bucks!!!

Lots to think about considering the amount of money i have spent on my car this past few weeks!! Come to think of it chris i believe the same applies to you mate!!! wink.gif

I love the autobox but it is not bullet proof. My 300 is 400+bhp or so and I have had the box rebuilt with a new torque convertor and other internals about 4 months/12000 miles ago. The car is back with them this week for the autobox to be fixed as it won't change up from 2nd anymore. The recon cost me £1000 plus about £300 labour/oils/VAT. As it is just within the warranty it looks like I MAYBE won't get a bill this time but I doubt whether the box will go another year without upgrading the internals. Will then have to decide on what to do about it. Manual conversion or the SE Nissan autobox upgrade kit (Anyone had this upgrade kit fitted?)

Macca has had the SE upgrade done but I don't think it increases the power handling massively.

If you're after 500-600bhp I think you would have to convert to manual.
