ARE THEY THE SAME BUT IN SILICONE OR ARE THEY DIFFRENT FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE ENGINE, AND WHILE IM HERE, WITH REGARDS TO PIPES, CAN YOU BUY CHEAPER THAN WHAT SMITHYS AND ZCENTRE ARE DOING FOR JUST AROUND THE ENGINE BAY(NOT HARD PIPES) AND NOT LOOSE PERFORMANCE. I WANNA BLING THE ENGINE (MAYBE CHANGE MOST OF THE PIPES TO RED) BUT NOT ENOUGH TO SPEND 400 HUNDRED QUID DOING IT. JUST REALLY WANNA REPLACE THE PIPES, PLENUM (WHICH GOT AND IVE POLISHED MYSELF), HARD PIPES, SLAM PLATES (WHICH I ALREADY HAVE), POSS POWER STEERING RES, AND THROTTLE COVER (AGAIN WHICH I HAVE). BASICALLY WOULD PIPES FORM EBAY BOUGHT IN BULK AND WHICH I HAVE TO CUT MYSELF BE A BAD MOVE OR WOULD I BE OK.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GLADLY RECIEVED

Yes the blue silicone pipes replace your old tied ones that go to the plenum. Alot cheaper than hard pipes £200+

Yes you would be fine replacing all your hoses with silicone pipe as long as there the same diamiter

Dan at DTA is your man....I got mine from Smithy's place, though i couldn't see them on the website....

I have just bought some red silicone pipes off Dan (DTA/Smithys), they were £120 however they are made from 5mm think silicone which i believe is 2mm more than the samco ones. I have heard that the ebay ones are not fully silicone and have stuff mixed in etc... but i have also heard people say they have had no problems with them, so i guess you take the risk. I just went for the proper silicone ones off Danny, one because i can't afford the hard pipes and two, i know where i am dealing with Dan.

don't buy them off e-bay until you check with DTA. Some grades of SS will still rust when fitted. You need to get a certain grade of SS. Danny will provide more info.

You also need to be careful with the silicone, I think the best one you can get that DTA sells also is the 4 ply silicone, very strong and durable.

Or you could get some carbon fibre ones made up.:D

hasn't someone got some cf ones on here, i vaguely remember something about that
