Are the pistons and rods the same in a NA as a TT

As above. I have been told that the main differences on the NA and the TT was, the TT sump has the cooler feeds and regulator. Then the NA has different piston oil squirters and the heads have a much smaller combustion chamber.

Anyone know for sure what the differences really are. Iknow for sure about the oil squirters

oilpump (higher capacity pump in TT),

pistons (NA: domed, TT: dish)

exhaust valves (inconel, sodium filled valves in TT , versus steel NA valves),

heads (thickness and difference in ports, TT-heads have 40P stamped on the side, NA have 30P stamped)

Cheers Eric.

So could you use NA pistons work in a TT engine to transform it into a NA with tunning porential or would the Valves from the TT heads fowl the pistons.

I have never tried if NA pistons work/fit with TT heads and if it does I'm not sure with the compression ratio you'll end up with.

As far as I know, the NA heads are part of the NA 10.5:1 compression..

Well I'll ask the question on TT net and see what our friends across the duck pond have to say. I have to decide wether to build a better NA lump or just drop one of my TT engines in. All will need rebores and I like the idea of a 300 bhp NA. but if its to much hasle I just have a TT lump dropped in.
