And now because of this thread i've just gone on ebay and bought the complete season 1 and 2 on dvd for 22 quid

That's a bloody good price mate.

We bought lost series 1 2 & 3 for about £100 :(.

We are watching both lost and hero's at the moment.

If you haven't seen Hero's, then well worth getting the first series of that and watching the 2nd on TV. I rate it better than lost.

just finished watching season 3, now watching season 3 of prison break :)

will try heroes next

I couldn't turn it down for that, sniped it at the last second :D

Heroes is supposed to be awesome, my mate has complete series 1 and 2 so i'm picking them up off him next time i see him and having a bit of a session :)

lost lost my viewing after 5 show.

heroes on the other hand, great.

my fav is the Unit.

Just use a torrent website to download the entire series :)

Virgin Media are blocking all torrent downloads, i only download tv shows like lost because Virgin spat the dummy out and withdrew the sky 1 service, now i can't see the last 2 episodes of season 4 lost because virgin are blocking all torrents. They have supposedly set up a 3 strike system that if you try to download torrents 3 times they cut you off. I'm going to save them the bother and just tell them to cancel my TV, broadband, telephone and mobile services and switch back to sky.

I wouldn't go through the hassle of swapping back to sky! VM definitely do not block torrents or anything else for that matter!

My brother-in-law mentioned this to me on Sunday about VM, i said at the time that they advertise unlimited downloads so they shouldn't block anything but since then everytime i try downloading torrents (all Lost) they get blocked. I have done a search on google and it seems to be true, Virgin are blocking torrents.

The only thing they could possibly do is block certain ports, or cut bandwidth down. Which is what happens at peak times, but there is no way they can block torrents. Get a program called utorrent and get someone who is tech savvy to set it up for you. It has the ability to use a random port everytime you log it on so its harder to track.

I use Utorrent, have been for a while now with no problem until now. Just phoned my brother-in-law to confirm and he said his mate got the warning letter with his last bill with details of the torrents he had downloaded.

Just checked utorrent and done the random port settings and the download has started so good call, will let you know if it finishes ok.
