I’m trying not to feel too despondent right now. Car felt a bit down on power, seemed to be smoking quite a bit, so booked it in for a compression test. Ran the car out on Saturday to a Cafe and the smoke did seem to clear up so that was a positive. Then it went in to the garage and 5 cylinders seemed fine at 145-152, but one cylinder was down 20%. It’s at about 120. Spoke to Jimmer and he said it definitely is in trouble, the smoke suggesting piston rings and so therefore the engine needs replacing or a rebuild. Both expensive. So I’ve got a bit of a decision to make, not immediately (hopefully) but wondered what people thought. Sell it now - I’ll be totally honest about it, wouldn’t want to stitch anyone up. If so, what would it be worth? Difficult to guess I know. New engine - cheaper but would be a shame to lose the original engine. Am I just being sentimental and I shouldn’t worry about that? Rebuild - the most expensive option. But would be a nicely built, basically all new engine that should last for a long time and would hopefully retain some value being the original with the car. I might be clutching at straws but could it potentially be something less expensive? (Valves or something) Photo of it with my dads 968 on Saturday

Hi
My speedo went wrong recently on my TT.
I noticed the Hicas light came on soon after. This is obviously because of the speed sensor (I think). This makes the steering go heavier. The thing is though I prefer the steering heavier. Once I've sorted out the speedo, is there anything I can do to keep the steering heavier ??
