Maybe it's just me, but...

Maybe I'm getting old, just turned 30!, but I seem to have a problem with driving with the left indicator flashing! The problem is, I'm 6'6" and can't see the top section of the dashboard.

My record is about 3.5 miles, can anyone beat this??

just turned 30 as well Mike, but I have a habit of driving with the right indicator on, had it on for about half an hour driving, I think it was the sunlight through the targas shining on the dashboard that does it, or it could be me eyesight failing in my old age. tongue.gif

You guys need the new Astra - it new astra-new rules: How about a car that has indicators that get progressively louder - so you dont leave them on on motorways!!

The indicators are gonna have to be Bl**dy loud to be heard over my music.

I did get some Fluffy Dice for my birthday though, you thought people stared at your car before, hang some fluffy dice on the mirror; you get looks of utter disbelief! I think people think there hallucinating!!

I gave up after 3 day's, It was all to weird!

White Van driver doesn't need to use them, so the easy answer break them off, got to better than driving an Astra smile.gif

And that is another weight saving idea for Nelson wink.gif

Indeed ! wink.gif

My father drove a white van (still drives one, but a different one...), and he had to replace the ticker on his indicators with a buzzer, because he *always* left them on (I guess because vans are noisy things). The family kind of got used to it, but it used to freak out people he gave lifts to :/

I had the problem when I first got my ZX. I put the seat in the position but then the steering wheel blocked off the top part of the dash. I had to change my seating position to virtually a lying down position wink.gif

I'm 6'

When I had the Momo steering wheel fitted I couldn't see the indicator or high beam warning lamps! The solution was to have repeater bulbs fitted at the bottom of the instrument cluster, works a treat!

I am just under 6ft 4 and i have the same problem too with the indicators. I have got the seat as low as possible too, though i have not tried recling it into the dentist chair position yet! Shame the ZX does not have a steering wheel adjustment like some of the newer cars. As i have only just had the car a week or so, i am also accidently pushing the indicator forward sometimes putting full beam on! Oh well, jus dont drive in front of me at the mo ;-)

I think the best answer is to saw about 8 inches off the bottom of your legs. You might have to use your new 'bloody stumps' to work the pedals, but at least you'll see the indicator light smile.gif
