Hi all

A while ago there was a post about using a certain type of nut or vegetable oil on rubber to refresh it. Specifically the Targa roof seals.

Can anyone remember ?

Big Thanks in advance to anyone who can

peanut oil is the one to look for.best of luck i'm still getting a wet leg!

if you get stuck use peanut butter, i know it sounds crazy but it works and you could eat as you work, lol

I have a peanut allergy so would end up being ill every time I got in the Zed:rofl:, what other options are there?

(Sorry for the hijack)

nothing really, you could try using a heat gun (carefuly), this will bring all of the natural oils to the surface then simply buff to a shine, but remember these cars are upto 17 years old now so the natural oil has probably disapeard, lol

Autoglym vinyl and rubber care, I wouldn't use oil on rubbber it disintegrates it.
