hi peeps its been a while but managed to get some pc time so i thought i'd gross you all out

been in agony over the last few weeks with raging toothache couldnt afford to go to the dentist and generally if im honest im a bit scared of the thought of it all ( had a bad experience when i was a kid with a dentist ) so last night after a paricular heavy day getting the corvette back from goole i'd had enough ........so half a bottle of remy martin and a pair of disinfected pliers later ive removed the offending tooth , not as bad i thought it was going to be but still bad enough

my tips for the weeks kids is

1.... eat your greens

2.....brush your teeth twice a day

3.....stop being a wuss and go to the dentist if your in pain

i did have the chance to go to the dentist college in leeds , where they will do the work for free but didnt fancy being operated on by someone who doesnt wash wears baggy clothes and calls everyone "dude"

sorry for the crappy pic but you get the idea

yeah your right mate i highly recommend not doing it yourself but i'd just bought some wheels for the scooby and was skint

I pressume you got the right tooth.

Have to say I am with you about the dentist, it's not that they scare me but just that I would rather spend the money on me car.

Touch wood I don't have too many problems with my teeth, my theory is that as they don't get proded around by the dentist they don't need so much work.

that must of been painful!

Don't you need to stick up the hole it left or something before it gets infected, you don't want infection to get into your jaw bone, cause then you're really fooked...

May be worth going for a check up, it's cheaper than tooth pulling, but better safe than sorry.

I suffered like you with a couple of very bad experiences at the hands of a dentist when I was a very young...

Now I don't go to the dentist unless he's going to hurt me less than a tooth is hurting me !

My dentist said my teeth were perfect right up until I hit full-time employment and decided i needed £400+ work done... con men

Bloody hell - you mad b@stard!!!

I hate dentists too - I also had a bad experience as a child, but I have managed to find a good dentist at least so I do go regularly now.

You'd best get the socket looked at as SMW says, just to ensure infection does not set in. If you can't go to a dentist at least make an appointment with your GP. He may refer you to the dental department of your local hospital so they'll be no charge.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

washed the hole out with a bit of fire water lol but am keeping an eye on it just to be safe and im off the currys for a day or two it would have been easier to walk into the local pikey site and call them names they would have kicked them all out for free but thought better of it

yeah your right mate i highly recommend not doing it yourself but i'd just bought some wheels for the scooby and was skint

:mac1: I think you're taking your hobby a bit too seriously :mac1:

A lot of the people at dental college are dental nurses and hygenists just getting qualified for the next stage and have worked in dentistry for years.

Takes a long long time to become a dentist you can't just do surgery straight from school :nono:

My girlfriend is training at the moment I'm sure I could have sorted you out a cash job at her practice

She loves all the gory jobs like difficult removals and MASSIVE absesses!

You're nuts!

:eek::eek::eek:

Massive..................................Total HARDCORE mate!!!!!!!!

You really must not like dentists.................

Crazy Bazzard comes to mind. You must have been pi##ed to do that!!!:shock:

Massive if there is a hole left its gona need stitching or youl be begging for the toothache.

Get to A&E and sit tehre for a few hours, tehy will have to stich it.

i just lost a filling on one of mine, and ive notices another filling is decaying, im looking into going to poland and having teh lot done in 1 got for a 1/4 the price

ive been having alot of treatment for the last 2 months, so far 2 root canals 1 filling and im waiting for a crown for my rear moller, ive also got two crowns on my front two teeth and i think nearly all my mollers are filled, i brush my teeth every night and day but still get decay, ive only started flossing, so i hope i wont need dentures before im 35. :(

I think you are either prone to it or not.

My dad has always had problems and has loads of fillings and other work done.

My mum is 65 and never had a thing done in all her life. Only a check up and clean every now and again.

Both eat the same stuff and brush twice a day at least.

think it all depends on the mount of bacteria in ya mouth or the ensimes than kill it or something.... not an expert.
