It was just like swallowing a big salty green Flem that you could not dispose of in lets say................................. a supermarket:rofl:

Weirdest thing is you expect it to have bones - It don't! Just a ridge of carteledge (sp?) down the middle and the meat just tears off. Saz is on a diet again and Monkfish is DEFFO on the menu for the next few weeks!!!

it wasnt slime you experienced when you ate that monkfish it was my man fat:D hmmm monk fish so sexy......

poor mans scampi .......in fact most scampi in supermarkets is 80% monkfish .....

 

im allergic to sea food ,....but that doesnt make me a bad person

pan-fried monkfish and scallops.....top meal for my lady

cant believe you only just got monk up't north we soft southerners have had it down here for years :)

sadly its flipping expensive now...some years ago fishmongers used to just chuck / give it away as it was seen as poor mans food.. but some fine resturants got wind put it on the menu and hey what do you know its £17/kg...same goes for oysters once the food of the working class now.....champers anyone?

Flathead is better if you can get any

I love monkfish. Scallops too (Queenies - the smaller, the sweeter). Crab is my all time fave though.
