Anyway what would be involved and could it work, with automatic boxes?

or could you make a hybrid from an na and tt box creating the ultimate na box. so na gears 1-3 and tt gears 4-5 so we get quick acceleration and a higher top end.

Ratios are the same on the manual na and tt

ooops LOL. so it is just the diff that makes all the difference

Yes, no probs with TT auto on an NA. Have done it on one of my previous Zed's. You would need the TT Ring gear, Torque convertor and Front half of the prop too from what I remember.

wouldn't you need the auto ecu and na speed sensor?

No reason to change the Autobox ECU, but yes good point about Speed sensor (I forgot to change that on mine.....but speedo was in KPH anyway which I could never read so did'nt matter lol)

I would have thought the autobox ecu would have been something you had to change?

TT and N/A box is exactly the same ratio the variation is all in the diff, I fitted a N/A box into my TT(didnt realise untill id bought it and it was labled up wrong) And i got back and it didnt fit!! for some reason Nissan decided to make the N/A box bell housing a couple of thou smaller so I had to get the grinder on it and make a 1mm spacer for the starter motor as it was too close to the fly-wheel.
