ok i,m getting a strange noise only when on boost it sounds a bit like a loud resonating sound or if you say who in a loud deep voice , it only happens when boosting so doubt it the zaust rubbing on something and only lasts a few secs then goes away and doesnt do it in safety boost

 

any ideas

What revs is it making this noise at. Goose honk will usually be at the low end of the rev range and always at about the same place. i.e. 3- 3.5 rpm or 500 range somewhere else around the rev range.

 

If it's only at a certain rev range then it's more than likely goose honk. It's not a big problem and won;t do any damage, it's just annoying, so you can either replace the recirscs or get some bovs.

not sure of the rev range but it is at the start of when boost comes in so it is proberly at around the 3-3.5 mark and goes away at full boost and yup it is annoying :(

What air filter you using??

That definitley sounds like goose honk to me.

 

If you don't want BOVS, someone may have some old recircs for sale. Ask in the wanted section, they won't cost much at all as most people throw thiers away if they fit bovs.

yea i,m looking at getting a set of bovs either blitz with hard pipes or z1 rfl,s which fit in place of stock ones but cant make up my mind:confused:
