no sorry but I get my cat verheating light come on and off like it's shorting out, I'm not worried, I don't have any cats.

Mine does that.

I think thats to warn thats it's holding the lowest gear it can if you use full kickdown.

If don't use full kickdown it won't come on. ie in Overdrive it kicks out of overdrive and doesn't change down further = no light. In overdrive and it kicks out and drops down a gear = power light

You will notice if you put the power button on you can rev right up the range. So when you boot it the car thinks that you wanna sh#t yourself and launches itself!!!

One question though, is it true that when the power light comes on things like air con gets turned off automatic so the car can get max power out of the engine. One for tec wizards

I think my aircon etc stays on when my power light comes on

When you boot it the car momentarily goes into Power mode and the light comes on.

Aircon is also disconnected to give you a little bit more power.

Once you take your foot off it returns to "normal" mode.

my air con turns off when the power light comes on. but never use the air con anyway needs re-gasing.;)

yep its true about the AC, it is surprisingly responsive too. My compressor is knackered and makes a right whining noise so yeah I can tell you that as soon as you use the throttle with any kind of enthusiasm it cuts out immediately, and cuts back in again immediately when you back off. Also the power mode is not triggered solely by the pedal position, rather the speed in which you press it down. For example you could gently squeeze it wide open and it might not trigger it, whereas you could quickly jab it down to half way and it will. Just stick it in power mode all the time though tbh lol it makes it more interesting :p

Power mode all the time makes it very thirsty though..... better to select it when you need it and switch it back to middle position when not required. Gives you a great buzz though when you kick down hard and it kicks in !
