My Zed`s an import . Until today I`ve had no problems with the electric folding mirrors , but now the nearside one is not folding ( the other one is ok ) . Both mirror glasses are adjusting remotely . Just wondering if there are separate fuses for the 4 functions (2 x 2 )

Of course I know it`s a very minor problem but if anyone else has had it , a bit of advice would be fine and dandy .

C`mon , a broken engine is one thing , but this is serious :p

I think one fuse for the mirrors, mine does it sometimes when i have been in a car wash ( god did i just let that slip) it needs a nudge to get the gearing back on track ie: its pushed slightly passed the point of return and the gearing cant catch.

Failing that someone has whacked it without you knowing and the metal plate that turns the mirror housing has cracked. hth

Cheers

Graham

I agree with what Groover said,

my passenger one on my jap worked fine then not, When you press switch to turn mirrors in, can you hear the gearing working in the mirror?. After i removed it i found that it had been hit, but no visibile damage to the outside and the base had snapped inside the unit.

With a 2-3mm drill and small screws i manged to re attach it.

First things first its engine out to get to the root of the problem!

LMFAO

Brilliant !

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

They run on a small sprung ball bearing that pops in and out of a cup to lock it in place, they often stick due to crap getting to the ball bearing or cup, but quite often you will find cracks in the metal bezel, if you find these its new mirror time sooner or later.

Tip if you are removing the mirrors try to get them in the half in half out position, so the ball bearing cant shoot out!!
