Does this mean one of the turbos is bust? smoke pours out the engine and the exhaust when it is runnning, had a look and theres loads of oil burning in the pipes, so there is definatley a leak! but could it be a burst turbo?

also is there an easier way to get the turbos off without stripping out the entire engine?

It sounds like a turbo seal(s) gone but also could be a piston ring / damaged piston.Sadly both failures requires the engine to be removed from the car to rectify. The turbos can be refurbished for between £200 to £400 each.To find out if you have a piston related problem, do a compression test.
