Am considering d2 suspension how much are my kyb's worth

Well something only worth what someone is willing to pay, so no real answer. However a couple of months ago i would of snatched your hand off at £350, as long as they are in very good condition. HTH :)

I would have said £300 - £350 also ;)

make sure you research the D2's properly before puchasing. The spring rates are usually a lot harsher than other coilovers and I know that 'SRB Power' stopped selling them because of a lot of issues with them leaking, presumably other traders also which is why you mainly find them on ebay.

Sure can! Don't be daft, mate - Leave them alone!! ;)

Seriously though - With the standard spring and damping rates, they are virtually unuseable on anything other than glass smooth roads! And, let's face it, you may find a couple of metres of that over here, but not a whole lot else! You'll be travelling at far slower speeds than on the standard set-up - Mainly due to the fear of being thrown off into the hedge and the pronlonged concussion from your head bouncing off the roof!

Personally, I've bought some Kyb's to replace them and am gonna grab some Ground Control coilovers to fine tune the ride height..............

All the best,

Simon

very interested in these! let me know what you want and what you would like for postage my friend

the only reason i wanted these is to control the ride height, wha else can i use to do this with (sorry but i dont know anything about coilovers ?)

don't go with the D2 suspension.

The are very hard, and very poor quality. I already spend 600€ rebuilding only the rear one on my Z and that was a big mistake !!!

They are shit.

Go with Tein, maybe a little bit more expensive but really better than this D2 ;)

Try this guy: http://www.streetrperformance.com/

Call him and see his price ;)

i'd recomend the SPL coilovers, have a search on here, plenty of good info.

otherwise tein flex.

can also recomend the nitron ones, but they are more expensive ;)

2nd for SPL's. Better spec, quality and price than the Teins.

do coilovers go over the shocks ? sorry if that sounds stupid ?

A Coilover is basically a threaded shock (it doesnt go over an exsisting shock as it is one piece), with an adjusting ring to adjust the spring location upwards or downwards the further down the ring sits the lower the ride hieght. The higher the ring sits the higher the ride.

heres a pic of one. Notice the spring which sits on the gold ring which is currently set about 2/3 up.

James if you do decide to go much lower than you are then your seriosuly going to need camber adjustments ive seen what your setup did to the tyreson your old wheels lol, also the caster will be out and the toe, so will all need to be realigned.

What they do is give you a headache...

They go over your exsisting shocks and in my opinion are a load of pants..

I think they need to be welded to the shock. Spend a little more and get yourself some teins... Or maybe even find some used ones in good nick.

No point skimping out on crap like that after all the money youve spent on quality parts so far.

Eibach don't give much of a drop, but if you want it higher put some new standard springs on, that should raise it about an inch.
