Could be uneven padwear from a sticky piston in the caliper, causing the less worn edge to vibrate since it is "snagged" when the car is in reverse??

they're just thin pieces of metal that sit on back of the pad

to be honest im not sure what pads ive got on there....! It's not too bad but just getting annoying...especially when crowds gather around on the street and i have to reverse out and it starts to sounds like a micra/sunny!! :smw:

i'll be honest i rather like the squeel... makes it sound like a proper supercar! All brakes should squeel until they are hot! :D

hmmm....:confused: if you say so! lol

tend to squeel due to high metal content in the pads so they dont work preoperly until there is some heat in them.

Look at the Aston that James May took to italy when top gear went looking for the best driving road, that squeeled until it had some heat in it!
