Saturday 24 May (Glencoe & Ballachuish)

Aint forgotten about this guys

Thoughts at the moment are for all the Falkirk/Stirling/Edinburgh

guys to meet at Stirling services Around 10:00, set of around 10:30 and head for Tyndrum where we can meet with anyone coming from Glasgow Perth etc.

After that its a run up to Glencoe for some piccies (weather permitting)

grab some nosh then head for Ballachulish, down the west coast towards Oban before turning back to Tyndrum and home.

At the moment I think a bar meal in the Glencoe area would be best, would be around lunch time so I could still manage a curry when I get home . but if you guys preffer we could leave it till the last leg of the run ...........or then again we could just all bring rolls on cheese and flasks of soup and act just like an MG club outing (youd all need to bring tartan rugs as well though).

Ive had a few bar meals in the area in the past but it was a few years ago and half the places seem to be turning into Bistros

Some of the places for meals so far

I will try and get some menu's emailed......before we decide

If you want to wait till later to eat, this one wasnt to bad, pretty basic pub grub but the prices were good

Any of those would do but the ones near the end of Glencoe might be a bit busy. What about somewhere between Ballachulish and Connel bridge? It looks like there's a few in Port Appin.

nb - is just coincidence that we have to pass Ossian's Cave?

cheers Colin will have a search around the Appin area, have had a quick look but so far only found the upper end of the resturant/hotel scale....... anywhere you can recommend?

And the climb to the cave is probably just a bit too hard so we will give it a miss:)

Your right they do look a bit pricey - I thought there might be a pub but keep coming up with the same 2 places! The only reason for mentioning Port Appin was that from the map it looked like it might be a good place to stop - but anywhere will do me.

Hey folks,

Would anyone mind if I came up for a bit? This would be a great opportunity for me to get a look at some 300's and have a chat with some owners before buying my own.

Looks like an other big turn out for the Scottish section:xxx:

I am still planning on going.

I spent Saturday afternoon changing the front pads and discs, also removed the AIV system from under the wheel arches. I could be wrong but the car seem to be running much smoother after removing the AIV:dance:

Good at least theres a couple of Z's to keep me company this time.

Just need to get 2 front tyres all the panels back on the interior in and get it tested. And fingers crossed the smoke screen from the right hand bank will disappear with a run:o

I'll hang off trying to book somewhere for eating until I get more numbers, as it is we will be able to walk in anywhere without any problems.

Nearly there, though I dont think its ever going to be fully finished, cause I will keep wanting to do something else to it.

Cutting it really fine for the run, as Im taking it for test tomorrow so will only have a few days to sort any problems out.:D

First rule of 300zx test drives - always take a mobile!

Second rule, have a mate with a low loader on speed dial.
