I'm going to treat my Z to a holiday soon and as i dont like flying and they dont generally let cars on planes anyway its going to have to be by boat.

 

My parents have a house in Gibralter and insist i must go and see it but i need to know where i can get a ferry to, ideally south Spai would be good then drive the rest of the way.

 

Anyone got any idears?

Those big boats should have nice gentle ramps so as not to cause grief to a low-slung Z

southampton/portsmouth i think goes to spain and then u would have a bit of a drive,jay

P & O sail from Portsmouth to Bilbao and Brittany Ferries from Plymouth to Santander.

These will get you to North East Spain.

 

Going for a shorter crossing and driving through France is another option, but depends how far you want to drive. Both need an overnight stay, althoungh this could be on the ferry (subject to timings - cannot remember).

Cheers for that, looks like ive got a long drive ahead of me then.

Driving down Spain, through Basque country, to Gibraltar in a UK reg car - if you get back alive that will be a story. Great drive but take a shot gun and don't stop!
