I'm hoping to fit my polished power steering pot today (weather permitting), and wondered if there is any "do & don't" advice available from you guy's before I take the pipes off, and cover everything in fluid

Any risk off air-locks etc.??

I've had a quick search on here, but can't find anything.. (twin turbo)

THANKS!! :)

It's dead easy but very messy.

Try to drain the fluid with a syringe or syphon it out of the pot if you can then get plenty of old rags around the wing to soak up the fluid when you unscrew it.

When you refill it you will have to start the engine and turn the wheel from lock to lock a few times and keep topping it up to get all the air out of the system.

Many thanks Chris

or just release one of the bleed nipples at the rear on the hicas rack and pump it out, but then youl need to bleed it again.

Well thats the proper way to rid of the fluid and it wont make a mess, you also avoid leaving air in the system. would be good to flush it out and refill if its old anyway.

Ah but if you just suck it out down to the bottom you dont need to bleed anything.Just refill the pot, sorted.
