My car is going in for a full respray, but the garage has suggested all new exterior trim.

 

Does anyone know where I can get it? what the full list is? and how much it is likely to add to the total cost of the respray?

 

eg:

 

scuttle panel = £x.xx

trim above doors = £x.xx

trim below doors = £x.xx

trim at the edges of the windscreen = £x.xx

 

has anyone actually replaced it all?

They have probably suggested it as they are likely to break them taking them off, z centre doo all those bits, not cheap though, you would be better off replacing the window seals if they are worn and paint the rest with a can of matt black.

Haven't followed the link to the 'Cheaper Option' mentioned as I'm not subscribed to that forum yet, but the masking and painting option sounds promising!

Yep replaced every single one even including new wiper arms, yikes!

Whole lot ain't cheap as said but really does finish off nicely after a respray.

Luke however does not do the outer window trim for rear glass, you have to get taht from the US and it will come with the front window trim as well.

Replace all mine on Blue Zed. I got the scuttle pans, the targa roof and screen trims from Luke (but would go Z1 these dats as you can get the rest from them and talk up a deal) I got the door and rear quaters trim , the Targa seals, the top and bottom screan seals and all rear screan trims and corners from Z1. I bet it cost about £600 all in.
