hi mark,howz things bud,mine had some kind of sealer on to secure it,warmed it up with a hair dryer and came off easily.

might prove to be a stupid question but how do i remove my gear knob. the car is a 96 jdm NA

Spin her the other way ,sorted. lol:D To remove your stock knob,wrap a cloth around it then use a set of stilsons(Pipe Grips)Try tightening abit first then undo.They have thread lock on the thread.
