front end knock?

Everytime my Zed hits a speed hump there is a knock that comes from the front of the car, sometimes its from the nearside and sometimes the offside, sometimes it clunks from both sides,

 

Its been doing it for a while now and hasnt seemed to get any worse but want to fix it anyway, also when the car is up in the air there seems to be no play in any of the steering or suspension parts...

 

What do you suggest it could be, i thought maybe the drop links?

    Make sure you check all four subframe nuts, i only found out mine were loose when i felt a bang and the steering wheel shot forward 2 inches.

     

    3 nuts were missing and the engine was hanging down under the car, very very lucky at 80mph not to have crashed!
