Whats a Pump Cancel Relay

On the Euro Spec cars they have a Pump Cancel Relay Situated next to the Oil Cooler Relay, whats that for? Does it cut the fuel in a rear end smash?

    I ain't an expert i'm afraid :wack: however i have come accross fuel cut-off switches on various other cars and it cut's off the fuel in an accident and it then needs resetting in order for the fuel to start pumping again. On older fords it was in the passenger footwell and on peugeots and renaults it is under the bonnet near the battery, usually round and covered in red rubber, you just push them and it resets it.

     

    Don't know if that is any help at all, but hey i tried :D
