Finally fitted it this afternoon  however, I'm having trouble setting it up. I have set it exacty as John suggested here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=108422&highlight=settle in Post #5

but I'm constantly getting the Warning and Peak Boost is going right up to 187

Can any one offer advice or assistance please ?

I've just been out and had a look, now are the wires :-

To the actuators 1 white and 1 black

From the loom 1 pale green (?) and 1 black and red ?

I havn't unplugged the stock wastegate actuators, is that bad :o :mac1:

stock wastegate actuators just need to be unplugged. on each side of the engine there is a black/grey plastic connection that you need to disconnect.

Not sure if this would cause the high boosting issues though.

Is it boosting at a consistent 18psi? or is it just spiking? as you may be able to control this by adjusting the gain level...

You MUST disconnect the stock actuators!!!! The person who fitted Saz's AVC-R didn't disconnect them and as a result was boosting to 19psi... The connectors are either side and are black and square

Yep I got the right ones then.

I think it was just spiking at 18.7 PSI as I didn't hear any dett

What I'm after is in Lo a nice mellow drive with no real kick for Sunday driving LOL then in Hi I'm after a real kick in the ass for blasting.

I've had a go at setting it up like in the link to the other thread but it's nowhere near as quick as it was with just 1.2mm boost jets fitted. I get the surge then holds back a bit then another smaller surge and I just can't get it dialed in exactly as I want it to be, any sugestions ?

Yeah, that is all to do with the gain settings.

you need to find the middle ground between spiking and surging (which is what you are experiencing now).

Make sure you apply FULL throttle when doing test runs, and try and hold it right up to 7000rpm, if there is nothing in front of you! :D

Hmmm, I've twiddled, twiddled and twiddled but still can't get it spot on

If you have the setgain to high then it will boost right up to that level and then there could be a delay before the gain settings stop it spiking. try turning the setgain right down, might make a difference.

then when you have the gain level right you can adjust the setgain back up again.

HTH...
