tell me about it!! my first house was a new build 3 bed semi which i bought for £48k and had a £45k mortgage and made the mistake of staying there for 8 years and kept adding to the house which i never got the money back when i sold it so didnt make that much on the house :(

 

so i now have a house with a £180k mortgage :nelson: to be honest i would rather go back to having a 3 bed semi and have half the size mortgage and have toys again :D

looks like i bought at the right time NOT. Prices are going down I hope im not looking at negative equity, although if I had waited it would probably have been impossible to get a mortgage!

No mortgage here I'm affraid. I used to have one (with my ex wife) but never again. I can see the advantage of buying but we are more than happy to rent our house. As for leaving it to my kids? let them buy their own bloody house. I have done enough for them whilst still alive. :D
