I've had my dash apart fitting my led converted dials and found this white box tucked up in there with a fair bit of wiring in a nice little roll. It connects to a 'button' which I've been pressing for a year wondering what it does but never figured it out!

The cabling seems to be cut and not goin anywhere apart from one end at the button....which you can see to the right of the ignition...

So...does anyone know what it is??

Maybe but it looks like at least 3 of the terminals have 2 wires in them which is equivalent to just breaking into them. Taking that into account there's only about 4/5 electrical connections in there which is about right for a turbo timer.

To be honest i could be way off here. The manufacturers website says that the timers are normally used to enhance a car alarms functions so it could be part of a security setup. Only way to be sure is to start tracing wires and figure out where and what they're connected to.

as already stated in another post. the unit is connected to the alarm system. for a turbo timer it would only have to hold a live feed to output ign wire, so doesnt need the amount of wires it has. there are however the right amount for window closure using an additional 2 relays, which would have been removed when put back to normal.

Could it be a gizmo to make the alarm happy to set and still let the car idle on timer?

I know lots of people struggle to get turbo timers and alarms to work well together.

Its not a timer to lock the car is it,only suggestion.

no. only 1 relays in it. for remote locking you need at least 2.

theres too many wires for it to be a turbo timer.

It would need more wires if it were for turbo timer and alarm.

Wel....I've no idea what it is so removed it and used the wiring for other things! If/when I figure out what it is it may make an appearance in the 'for sale' sections! lol...
