One question really, how on earth do I do it? Need to remove the back seat bench and seat back. Also, is there a frame or is it just foam? Asking as I am reupholstering it!

Back seat (back)

fold it foward and undo the 4 bolts (2 either side) then it slips forward.

Back seat (seat)

two screws (1 each side) under the front center of each seat hole. It's still held in by clips. grab the seat each side and give it a quick sharp jerk upwards and it will unclip itself.

Sorry for being dense, but what do you mean by "two screws (1 each side) under the front center of each seat hole"

Thanks

No screws for the seat base. You just pull it up at the front. Some of them can require a lot of yanking (thats yanking with a Y). Very sturdy clips one at the front on each side, if you look underneath at the front you can see where they are.

Mine has two little brackets with a screw in each.

Maybe this is an addition that someone before me put on there, looks pretty standard though.

If you can't find the screws and brackets which it appears you may not have, just yank it up and it will unclip.

will i break the brackets by pulling it?? i want it to secure properly afterwards?

No,

If you can't see any brackets then you don't have any.

It's just clips holding it in. Take a leap of faith and give it a good old tug :)

Trust us, we're professionals.

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if it breaks :)

Fair enough. Is the back seat easier to reupholster than the front??

Yes much easier.

Mines a 1990 jap import and there's no screws involved, does take a damn good "tug" though. Goes back together in much the same way.

have fun,

Steve
