I love my Z, but i'm struggling to afford its up-keep. I've been thinking about selling it and Buying a 350z, i want the Z look and experience but without the expensive and constant repairs that pop up. I find my Z reliable but Living in London without a drive i find it difficult to work on it.

Was looking at a 350Z for around 15,000. Are there any similar choices of performance / looks for that money ??

Yes, i could sell the Z, get a 10K loan @ roughly £175 a month. Would be more affordable to me. The fuel isn't that much of an issue after having the 300zx, lol.

Question is, as i've spent around £8 - £9k on a nice Z would i really like to sell it for well under £5k in todays market. Its a bit of a kick in the nuts!!!!! However if i wasn't in a rush to sell (i'm not) the right buyer may come along!

Have you not thought about buying a cheap daily driver? I think half the fun of owning the 300 is the fiddling around with it and getting exactly how you like it. Little upgrades here and there etc. I like the maintenance as if feels like you're preserving something a little special and a little unique.

Funny you say that-I think thats why I miss the 300zx so much now I don't have one. Had many cars since and when THEY'VE gone wrong I couldn't find any enthusiasm to get out and sort it.

No car is ever gonna be 100% reliable, and every car needs wear and tear parts replacing.

If you go for a 350 (and I like them-albeit with the Nizmo bodykit-just a bit too regular looking without IMO) Then you will have a great car but you will miss the feeling of no turbo's.
