My car got pretty hot last night (not to the H only top of the bar) when I checked I found the resevoir bottle leaking, so took it to the Radiator place and pressure tested it, all the water came pissing out the back of the motor somewhere, my mechanic wasnt interested in doing the job because the top all had to come off(too big for a small job) he suggested taking it to Nissan because they will have all the new gaskets etc to do the job.

Does anyone have any experience with these hoses, and can I do it myself without too much difficulty.... :headvswal

It happened just after I turned the boost back up to about 14psi on a long run, I dont know whether this has any bearing on it or not !!!

I'm new to Z ownership but in my exp theres always a pipe right at the back of the block that goes into the bulkhead.. thats always a ******* to get to.

Where abouts is the leak coming from? Top, middle, bottom of bay?

theres a few hoses at the back , the likely suspect is the heater hose that runs into the bulkhead but it could be one of many try to get a picture of the leaking hose up

is this any help, it'll be the red 1 at the bottom ^^^ left above the bell housing, very common mine went and took me 8 hours to do without takin the gearbox off

Thanks for the photo, I believe you may be right because I cant see any water leaking nor any wet pipes etc from above. I will get underneath tomorrow to see exactly where it is coming from. I asume it took 8 hours because of its awkward position, did you need to remove anything to get access?

By the way the motor looks great!!!

Could someone give advise,had a slow leak of coolant water running down passenger side of tunnel inside car,from vent.Assume heater matrix is leaking.Got most of center dash out but looks well buried,how much of dash has to be reomved or is it job for garage ?

It looks as though the leak is coming somewhere behind the motor low down very close to the connection between the motor and the gearbox, cant exactly see it, but up high the motor looks dry, it may be slightly towards the right hand side (looking towards the front from inside). How many outlets are there for the water, I might be able to rule them out one by one !!!
