Thinkin about fitting a set of coilovers myself this weekend, can anyone ive me any advice, they are k-sport ones.

the springs already seem to be fitted in the shock, is it just a case of whipping the old ones off, and put the new ones on?

or is there more to it than that?

it looks a fairly simple job, can anyone tell me of any hidden obstacles i might face. any advice apreciated.

cheers

its a Zed...........think kato in pink panther .....always ready to jump out and make life a soddin misery .. :)) mate with suspension i would think at a minimum you would need spring compressors and a lot of easing oil or penetrating oil some good axle stands and a good strong trolley jack .....and a spare pair of hands .....

Piece of cake on the front, it's just a few bolts if you've already got the springs fitted but you'll find the backs are a pain in the bum. You have to take out the rear seats, panels, boot panels and everything else just to get to the tops of the suspension mountings.

From then on in it's easy, just a few knocks with a hammer to get everything out and i found my bro bouncing the hub up and down helped get the new one in.

My teins were so short that i found myself doing the opposite,,,, i had to raise the hub to locate the top nuts, i had no help so i used a jack under the wishbone to locate the top nuts then bolt them in..... annoying.....

I have now cut out a nice circle in the rear interior so i dont have to dismantle the boot anymore when adjusting or removing my shocks in the future..... i should have done it ages ago..... thats 3 times ive taken everything apart.
