I think the original front tension rod bushes are filled with silicon or something similar, so could be your bushes are fooked..... other than that your motors haunted :)

yep leaking bush , have you noticed it knocking when going over bumps ? if not you soon will :)

you sure youve not popped a CV joint. sounds like CV grease

No cv joints at the front of a 300zx :D

There is on the rear tho on the driveshafts :)

Its defo a leaky tension rod bush get them buggers changed....

I think i should start buying used rods and fitting new bushings in there and selling them. Id make a fortune.

Seems to me like every other car on here has a leaking bush.

well if your near me and you need one replacing il fit both for 30 quid ;) as long as you supply them ;)

the silicon that leaks from the bush almost looks like a melted sugary sweet consistency lol

I usually start leaking a sticky substance when I look at my zed mate, nothing to worry about, just carry some tissues around with you. :nelson:

could you have cracked the screen wash bottle? mine had a clear goo in it a few months ago try the washers if you get a slime come out or nothing at all it could be that. if not ive got a ghostbusters dvd u can borrow lol

Im not sure jimmy ill need to check this weekend i think its standard

Any idea what the ride height should be for standard mate

Not a clue..... see how many fingers you can get under the rear arch before touching the tyre... when mine was dropped 30 mm i could get 2 fingers under there. so id say about 3 sausages?

I didnt think they had a CV on the rear either just 1 prop into a diff then out to 2 halfshafts which join onto the rear hub assembly, didnt think the zeds fractional rear steering would require a conventional cv joint???

its still a cv joint or whatever you wanna call it with a gaitor boot on each end of the drive shafts so if the rubber splits and all the grease leaks out you can say goodbye drive shaft.

my gaitor boot on the wheel side has split and lost some of the grease so is it possible to replace the boot with a new one without taking the driveshaft apart.
