Should the South west be split into 2 smaller areas ?

Should the South west be split into 2 smaller areas ? :smash:

I know that some people make alot of effort and go a fair distance but most don't so this restricts the amount of people that attend. I personally don't mind doing a nice long drive every now and then.

But we could do a trial session and see how it goes because as far as i can see some people don't go to meets sometimes even when there outside their house !

Where were you thinking of having the split paul?

Gloucester, Bristol and Somerset

Devon and Cornwall

I guess ?

Makes no odds to me.

That does mean that we get lumbered with the dodgy Gloucester mob , wonder if we could pass them over to the Midlands instead

I had a thought, split it into 3...

Plymouth to Cornwall

Plymouth to Bristol

Bristol to Gloucester

Just a suggestion, as cornwall like there end, Gloucester like there end and Plymouth dont mind any end, lol:tongue:

My worry is that the area's get split up too much, so that there are not many members or activity within the smaller regions.

oi you git :mad::eek:

gloucester is more midlands though isnt it??

split it in 2 put a divide around taunton bearing in mind south west extends to as far as tewkesbury

taunton for me is around 2.5 hours plymouth is 4 this would be more for the chelt/ tewkesbury mob

no gloucester is southwest geographically and is south west as far as just beyond tewkesbury

What a you driving a tractor?:shock:lol. Plymouth to Tewkesbury is 160 miles, doing the speed limit all the way takes 2hrs 56mins according to route planner, so in a z just over 2 hrs:hyper:

When the Z works i go anywhere for the meet so i like it as it is.

Thats the spirit:bow:

Works for me toooooooooooooo, but I just like driving the car anyway....anywhere come to that. They have nicer seasides down south too !.:smash:

I was under the impression that these cars where for the enthusiast, and this forum for the dedicated enthusiasts, so if your not dedicated enough to make the effort and commitment, in my opinion you should not be driving a zed. so sell up and buy a skoda.

All of you are completely correct, thats why we all know each other and have great meets:bow::):nana2::cool:

If it get's split i'll actually be p****d off. I attended as many meets as i could last year i even went to a south central one, to split the district just smacks of sheer f**king laziness. How much effort does it take to meet once a month for f**k sake. We all have other commitments(sp) work/family/whatever but where will it stop? How about just a bristol section and just an exeter section and just a plymouth section?!?! I won't apologise for the rant because i think it's a f**king stupid idea.

I think should leave as it is...we have had this conversation so many times and its getting stupid, seems to me only Gloucester are the ones not happy so just carry as we are and like we have said in the past have your own small meets and just try to make an effort if you want, end of really:headvswal:rant:

April 19th- castle combe open track day is the next meet everyone:rolleyes:

im from Gloucester and im not bothered what happens if i wanna meet someone in or arounf glos then i will or someone else from the area will post up and say we're eeting and invite anyone that wants to come, things are getting blown out of proportion i think lol

Not been an offical 300zx.co.uk meet this end for over 14 months now, thats why we are all pissed off, will be at castle coome for japfest have done bristol many times and swzeds/ weston etc.

This is the reason i have not botherd to renew and have lost interest in the club.

The only meets that have been organised by the club, north of the M4 have been done by me or Kevin, not the REO since Mrodgers was the REO. I dont mind helping out but 14 months is a joke

We are just going over n over, Next 2 meets 20-30 miles away, Just cant please everyone...:headvswal

Maybe a split is best, cant do no harm...unless the dates clash and people wishing to attend both ends cant

You dont consider Bristol to be your end Allan ?

Any Gloucester meets while I was REO were handled by you or Kev because you asked to handle them, otherwise I would of done.

I do, thats what I dont get, Dave you know very well that have had loads of meets that way. The cornish dont have meets in there exact area either due to being a large area too, just the same convo going on and its getting daft:headvswal

Yes Bristol is this end but is still not above the M4, I organised the Halfords meets and the Ross meets with Kevin these are the only ones since Marcus did the ones at Frombridge Mill I belive. I belived the meets wer going to be distributed throughtout the area to give a rota, ie gloucester/ bristol/taunton/ plymouth. This would give everyone the ability to get at least upto 6 meets within traveling distance that is travel down/up one, and then one in your area, I dont thinl Lisa should have to travel 120 miles to get to a meet, and nor should enyone. A 30/40 mile travel would work out avarage if this had taken place.
