Turbo timers

ok time has come for me to install a turbo timer, im fed up of sitting in the car on my drive waiting for it to cool down every night and i like to treat her right.

Basically something which will calculate cooldown time reliably and also have a manual mode is all i need. Also for it to have an inbuilt speedo and RPM display would be a bonus and 0-60 timer.

Anyone got any recommendations? ones that are easy to install, i know jaylox had a bitch of a time with his smile.gif

wow read a review on it and it is quite impresseive, its a toss up between that and the blitz at the moment, how did you get yours wired in in the end? does it tell you how much boost you are running? if so i guess you have to cut into a vacuum line?

I wouldn't even waste your time or money unless you can get some clever git to get the useless effing things to work with your alarm!

Yeah I fitted mine and was well chuffed at how easy to fit they are but what the fook is the sodding point of having one if you have to stand by or sit in the car waiting for the TT to go off to arm the alarm!

I always said these were such a gimmick and by buying a Blitz DC FATT and installing it I confirmed that they are shite!!!

Better off binning your alarm and putting in an alarm with a built in turbo timer feature like Luke Dukester has got with his Clifford. wink.gif

apart from the harness , which on mine was a pain in the ar@e,it was just another 3 wires,1 to the brake,2 to the ecu.if you go for the hks there is a detailed site which will help you connect it:- http://www.racecarnewmedia.com/hks/installation.htm

have a look and you can see all about the timer,.

if you have any trouble let me no and i'll guide you through setting it up,thats if you go for the hks?

should cost about a 100 quid off johnny

my dads a bit of an electronics whizz anyway so ill just get him to scratch his head a bit smile.gif

dont think you guys have looked hard enuff?ive zero probs with my alarm, all it was ,was to snip a couple of wires and hey presto

personally tho if finances permittted i would of gone with the blitz id meter(which has all the function of the timer,i would then of gone with a cheap turbo timer which is just for timing the engine cut off.

like i said mate if you want to call me,i'll help you all the way

i think all ur probs with the timer and alarm is down to havin a fancy alarm which locks ya doors etc, im in no way an expert in fact im shocking with electronics but mine is sorted.

best advice i can give you is buy the blitz id meter which will give you all the extras you wanted(rpm,0-60,0-100 ,volt reading etc

then go and buy a cheap turbo timer which would be less hassle than say the hks. anyway give us a buzz.jay
