Like I said before I don't know much about cars and mod's, i will need lot’s of help.

Well I have a NISSAN 300ZX 93’ 2+2 jap spec TT (stock car).

It was converter from auto to manual before I got it, the last dyno that the old owner gives me was around 260 RWHP and I would like to push it up to 450-500 RWHP.

I’m not sure if this part’s will do or if I need anything that I don’t know.

* 300zx Twin Turbo Ultimate Cooling Package (electric fan with koyo radiator)

* Full UR pulley kit

* BLITZ SUS Power Air induction kit

* 6 Nismo 555cc/min Fuel Injectors kit

* Sidemount Intercoolers SMIC set

* Greddy Profec B SPEC2 Boost Controller

* JWT 530BB TURBOCHARGER SET\

* ECU upgrade

Are this upgrades will be ok ?

Or I will past the 500 RWHP?

Thanks for your time.

Or if there is anything that i don't really need for around 450-500 BHP rwhp.

Just 2 save some cash.

forged pistons ? new bearings seals and gaskets needed too i would guess prob forged rods too not sure what stock are good for?

You missed a major part - fully built bottom end

You missed a major part - fully built bottom end

Was just gonna say that.......

Its all fine and well having all these "bolt on" modifications but the engine internals wont handle that sort of power.

Cue..........the engine guiness's!!!!

450-500 BHP rwhp and save cash can never be used in the same sentence on a zed unless it is.... Your never gonna be able to do 450-500 BHP rwhp and save cash . :D

You need to look at it from a different perspective:

How much budget to you have available?

How much contingency funds to you have available?

Only when you know those figures can you start slotting in the spec list and decide what is feasible.

Buy a skyline or a supra, it'll be hell of a lot cheaper to get that bhp but not as nice looking

My budget is around 5.000 - 6.000 pounds

And i thought it will be that easy......

I still have lot's to learn about that , i guess that's a good start.

Thank you all for your help!

I'd disagree with that. It can be cheaper to get 400-450 flywheel HP because some of the stock parts dont need upgrading (Injectors, turbos) , but once you get into high HP like 450 RWHP up then there isn't really much differences in cost. There is however a lot more Skyline and Supra owners willing/able to spend the money needed.

Dont wory about teh crank, new shells will be ok. Pistons, yep forged, and you could prob do with some otehr stuff for safety.

But before you even go there, can Iask how your stopping? because stock dont cut it.

My engine is almost built and it seems to be around the lines you are going with the items you mention.

I have (Engine performace wise).

Nismo 555's

JWT530bb's

GD Manifolds

GD downpipes

GD flexi pipes

Lightweight pullies

Howe Rad

Greedy SMIC intercoolers

Doolz Twin pop induction

Doolz 555 / twin pop chip

Electric fan that replaced the viscous.

Single piece Carbon fibre Drive Shaft.

Now with this lot, I'm hoping to get around 400 - 450 rwhp, but then going by the mods some people have on here with much bigger injectors and turbo's I think realistically I may be looking at 350 RWHP. But I guess we will see once its back and run in.

Just remeber that if you are thinking of upping the power, you need to remember that the stock brakes on the 300zx are not up to scratch with the standard eninge let alone a modified one. If you are gonna go fast... you best be able to stop...

the stock clutch will slip like a slippy thing wearing banana slippers on a slippy floor ,

it wont handle much over 300 bhp .....brakes are a first mod on the list Mod .....!!

its not going fast that kills you its the sudden ,violent and uncontrolled stop that usualy does it .........

^^^ Some wise words. A car that can stop and corner better will be faster and a lot more enjoyable than one that just has lots of power.

Attend to the Brakes and suspension before or at least at the same time as a monster rebuild.

Anyone knows more info about the dif of

JWT Sport 500 Turbochargers

with

JWT Sport 530bb turbochargers

Might sound stupid but that's me, if i chose any of this turbochargers (i know that the

jwt500 don't need any downpipes and the jwt530bb needs new downnpipes) can i keep in any of this the catalyst converter exhaust kit? what does the catalyst converter realy do? I wanna upgrade my zx but i fell i wanna keep the catalyst, is this bad or it's ok?

Most 4 bolt turbo's are stock turbo's made by a different company.

5 bolt turbo's are upgrades on stock.

In summary the difference is:

500 - Stock boost, stock spool up

530 - more boost, stock spool up.

the number Jim Wolfe uses represents the expected horse power the turbo's are capable of handling. so 500's = 500hp and 530's = 530 hp. But there are two things to remember. This is expected horse power at the crank not the Rear wheels, and this is American HP figures, which most of the time are a lot higher than UK hp figures. It's like a currency conversion thing, $2 = £1 or 500hp (US) = 400 hp (UK)

However the secret to quicker spool up is in the down pipes and manifolds.

Where abouts are you based?
