check all of the pipes and little vacuum pipes then go from there or carry out a boost leak test !

Out of interest how do you do the leak test?

so wat bout the note about ptu coil packs, plugs?

Even if they were all running at 50% you would still get some kinda reading past 0.

None of those things 'make' boost.

If it's running on 3 cylinders lumpy as hell I'd say yes check all above. But you say it's running fine. I've been in your position, and it turned out to be a seized turbo.

If you're making boost and loosing it through a huge leak, you would probably hear it.

But check for a boost leak first though, this is the simplest/cheapest thing to do.

Did you ever hear any 'zizzing' type noise at all before boost would not go above zero?

Then if no joy, your gunna have to take off the downpipes and have a peak at the turbines and see if they turn freely with your finger but god damn it dont do it with engine on haha.
