Excellent day out today! Started out wet and dried out after lunch.

Thanks to Mike for arranging this and Bullet for pushing me into some fast laps.

The 300's definitly held their own in a very mixed group of cars.

Loads of pics taken, here's a few -

...and i remember the horrible noise your car was making going past, the comments "eeee that doesn't sound good" were passing backward and forward  lol

Sorry guys i only live 4 miles away i was going to pop over and say hi but had a lot of work to get through today but does look like it could be good fun :D

Great pics, looked lots of fun, the zeds do look very mean on the track. Having viewed other threads of meets today, seems there was alot of us who had a good day,

Well done

Looks like you had a good day.

Sorry I didn't make it guys but woke up and saw the weather and decided against it. Was't sure it would still be on with the amount of rain.

They are cracking photos, particularly like the first one, wish I had made the effort, perhaps next time.

Darrell

The green fiat coupe in the last pic is identical to the one i had.

Must have been fun in the rain with a RWD.

Il be doing that soon i hope.

You can actually see how the flexi is generating bonnet lift on the bomex silver 300zx.

Nice action shots very impressive. Looks like lots of fun.

Exelent. Glad to see some of you chaps using the cars properly.

Next time your doing it let me know and I'll try and come alone. I love Track days.

Mike, look at the state of your car, lol

Was a great day out, shame about the rain, but you learn very quickly where the limit of traction is and the size of your balls in those conditions.

The car is filthy because I took it for a spin on the grass. doing about 55-60 out of coppice before the main straight, only gently on the gas as I am unwinding the steering but I went into a long drift that I couldn't quite wrestle back!

Great fun. Although my mate in his golf rolled it and had a bit of a shocker!

Always a risk once you go cross county. Hope he was ok even if the car wasn't. Did You take trackday insurance out? Its used to be about £125 for the day, but covers you against loss of earning through injury and a limited figure for repares.

Pics of the Golf after the roll, he had it running well enough to drive home just an hour after it came off the tow truck! Very slow roll, didn't even break the mirror.

Next three track days will be at Castle Coombe, first at the Japfest Press day, then the action day, followed by Japfest. Nothing like ragging the Z around a track, you cant even come close to matching the thrill with road driving. Donington is my all time favorite UK track although I had only been there on the GSXR prior to Sunday. Very technical and taking the right lines make all the difference.

Oh, and the baffles were not removed although you cant see them in the pic. Good thing I left them in because when the track dried my Z was right at the noise limit and Silverbullet was well over.

it was a fantastic day out, big thanks to Mike (MGH) for suggesting it

me thinks bonnet pins and mufflers are in order (after brake pads)

Mark, if you PM me your postal address, i will send you the DVD

managed to get some really good vids of your car :hyper:

PM sent along with high res copies of the photos of your car.

hey marco, remind me again, whats the name of the company who takes photos as you go round? I can't remember!

Thanks.

Oh, and I can't agree with you more, I love Donny and learning how to get the lines right is great fun. 100 times better than driving on the road... :nana2:
