August 4, 200223 yr I have a problem with my manual box on my Zee - when trying to select 3rd gear, without using the clutch, it grinds? I have tried using mobil 1 synthetic gear box oil, but the problem still occurs. Does anyone else have this problem?
August 4, 200223 yr have you tried putting the gear-knob up your anus? this can help clean out a dirty box. HTH.
August 7, 200223 yr i don't think that would really help the situation. my nissan dealer he thought it was of a selector problem than the actual gear knob, I am obliged to think that it is the leather gearstick gaitor, restricting the movement of the stick. Thanks for the suggestion though Senna.
August 7, 200223 yr If I had a pound for everytime I've heard "my manual grinds and crunches going into third!" I'd have about 87 pounds and 23 pence!!! Get shot mate and get an auto. ------------------
August 7, 200223 yr hmmm sounds like a solution - but theres nothing like the chucking the box into a lower cog mid bend in the wet and getting the back end snaky snaky - an auto would defeat the object!

What you on about? You can do plenty of Torvill & Deane manoeuvers in an auto...I have mastered the art of snaking and spinning and ending up in a hedgerow!!! Judges gave me 9.7 9.8 9.8 9.5 9.7 9.8 ...and a straight ten for technical composition and ability!!!!!!! ------------------
