I need a service & was wondering if you guys knew any good places to get either the service kit or just get the whole job done for me (depending on the price I might just do it myself). Also I'm gonna need a new exhaust soon so if you guys can recommend a good system or vendor I'd be very grateful.

it depends on the milage, does the cambelt need doing? you'd be best off speaking to Dan at DTA motorsport have a look in the traders section, as for the exhaust your probably gonna start an argument  have a look on ebay, http://www.2fast2cool.com have some good ones

Yeah, traders section :) DTA does a great 60k service kit if thats what you need, does others aswell i would imagine ;) :)

Yeh have spoken to Dan he is defo the man for parts but have been hearing rumours of gettign the 60k service done for around £400, that sounds pretty good to me. I might go for the 120k just to be safe but if anyone can let me know what & where they paid that would be awesome, the traders sections seems to be lacking servicing traders these days (not a dig at anyone, just an observation).

Cheers for the link Snowy, I'll check it out

no bother mate, i'll be ordering the 120k kit this week from Dan, if you want it doin right then its worth doin properly first time.

take your zed to z-tech in swindon, chris is the main man there,i got the 60k with a few extras for £650,dunno bout the 120k but cant be much more expensive?

the 120k kit off Dan is only £395 plus £15 postage

I think I'm gonna do it myself guys cheers all the same.

If anyone fancies a laugh I stopped in Nissan on the way home purely out of curiousity to see how much they'd charge, they said £450 for a B Service. I asked if that included the cambelt.... NOPE!!

With the cambelt they said about £850 - £900ish lol

I got them to give me the list of what's included in that it was £87.70 for spark plugs alone, I got the ngk's off smithy's site for more like £55, what are they playing at??

DTA Dan, you are the man... I salute you!!

When I took my N/A to Nissan 2 years ago they quoted me £1100 for the cambelt service and an extra £80 if I wanted the water pump done as well. My son did the whole lot for £180 incl parts and I still think he ripped me off! As an apprentice mechanic, I must admit I was somewhat worried but it took him 7 hours and my brother has the car now and its still running strong. From what he said, its not that difficult - just very time consuming.

We used to do the 60k service including parts for £400 with new water pump and tensioner it only takes about 3 hours !

When can you do mine then?

Yeh I only just found out you guys shut down a couple days ago. I emailed you last week and was wondering why I didn't get a reply lol.

I've never worked on amotoer more than fitting an induction kit, a dabble with a door lock and some wiring of stereos, amps, cigarette lighters etc. My dad's a mechaninc, has been as long as I can remember so knows what he's doing, do you reckon it's pretty straight forward? He knows cars but don't think he's ever worked on a zed so just a little weary of doing it myself.

if your a little weary get it done proffesionally, but if your dads a mechanic he should'nt have a prroblem with it.
