No, I'm not going to do an Anne Robinson. Thanks to work (and a great deal of organisational fubar by the French, Germans, Italians, Welsh and bloody northerners - now can I insult anyone else?) I have been exiled to a windswept airfield outside St David's for the duration.

In two days I have covered 538 miles as well as doing two long days setting up exhibition stands and babysitting engineers.

Colnbrook, Cardiff, Pembroke, Eisteddfod, Cardiff again, Pembroke again and now back at the Eisteddfod look you bach. Zigzagging across sheepshagger country I remembered how much fun it is to boot it around sunny country lanes terrifying natives.

So that's what welsh wales is for.

Is it dunk who says "I only use the brakes so I can accelerate all over again"? Top advice, there. biggrin.gif

And last night, I was able to do the highspeed dash to take the engineer back to the airport at Cardiff, leave him there at 9.30 and get back to my hotel in time for last orders.

Why is all this fun instead of being a PITA?

My Zed, of course. Hasn't missed a beat and smooth, fast and comfy as ever. I even enjoyed being caught behind traffic becasue that just meant another overtake around the corner (well, mostly). Gosh what fun (especially after I ditched the techy and didn't have to worry about winding him up!).

(now where have they put the bloody bar.....)

Someone was canvassing for donations in the high street and I said

"What good cause is this for?"

She replied it was to help "Save the Whales"

I said not bloody likely, which is understandable given their opinion of us.

Gio,

You lead such an exciting and interesting life (compared with me). All I've done is drive to Harlow 4 times this week .... frown.gif

More citizens blown away on the trip in this morning. My right foot aches. .

Actually being in Pembroke has some compensations - 4 pubs so far and all with well-kept beer.

Unlike the bloody Eisteddfod which is dry. Dry, FFS! So I smuggled in a six pack of Double Dragon which should pass the time nicely.

Apparently when Jean Harlow was being introduced to Margot Fonteyn, Jean said

"do you pronounce the 't' in Margot?" and Margot Fonteyn replied "no - the 't' is silent: as in Harlow"

HE HE!!!

Welsh roads = good for a blast smile.gif

Nice one Gio. biggrin.gif

aha, it was you, Rob. More big grins this morning (until I got held up by a traffic jam of Druids. Yes, that's right, Druids bloody druiding it about in a stone circle.

Sheesh.

(My missus, who is both welsh, beautiful and intelligent (a fairly rare combination - at least on this airfield) says this lot are called a "Gorsedd")

That's why I live there because the roads are ace and yes, I do terrorise the locals! Every weekend if the Jap Dustbin is upto a trip out. LMFAO biggrin.gif

Sunday went to Abersoch to have sunday lunch at this great pub we know and then onto marvel at the power boats for sale! 15K doesn't get you much boat does it? But Sea-Doos and Polaris Jet Skis? Hmmmm, 15K goes a bloody long way to terrorist activity on the water aswell as on the roads. biggrin.gif

sounds like a good place for a meet, bit of grub in the pub then a blast round de wales..... or vice versa

Abersoch is very nice. Just driven over 600 miles round South Wales, taking photos of me car in the mountains !! More of a holiday for the car than me !! Saw a driver from Autograss in Tenby.

sounds like a good excuse for a meet as well... a plan is forming!

somebody pick some desolate hotel somewhere with lots of quiet roads smile.gif
