I had similar problem especially with 1st start of the day! I suspected Idle Control Valve!

Got some WD40 and Carb Cleaner and shot a load down each throttle body let it sit for 10mins then ran the car abit nasty at first but once it had cleaned it all out no probs for about 7days now :) Hope this helps! Plus Idle now Stable at 750 on Cold Startup too!

great! sounds lik the same sort of problem some times even wen warn the car will idle in 1500 rpm and some time on 750rpm.

ill try that

cheers ;)

Could be a dirty connector on the auxillary air device located at the rear of the engine, Right hand side as you look at it. Connector in question is yellow. Try cleaning, may have corrosion. :headvswal

Do you have datascan, or conzult? If the ECU isn't getting a signal from the coolant temp sensor idle will be erratic.

actually my water pump is leakin abit and the temp gauge can do as it wants at times. even when the car has been running for two hours the temp gauge can sit at quarter the way and others it can sit at half way? a friend looked at the water senser and it did have some corsion but it might be fooked!

Well conzult, or datascan will let you know easily if it is the CTS. Will come up with code 13 off the top of my head. In the mean time, if you get a chance... might be worth giving the sensor and connector/plug a clean... & reset the ECU (disconnect battery over night) and see how that goes.
