Can anyone help? The little black box on the drivers side of the engine bay near the bulk head, is that the boost sensor? if it is, what does it do?

The reason i ask, im sure ive read that if you have a EBC then this box can be removed? Is that true?

Thanks

Yes, that is where the stock boost sensor is. It feeds the signal back to the stock boost gauge under the speedo.

You can remove it or you can leave it plumbed in like me...

Cheers.

im looking to declutter the engine bay a bit. I have a after market boost gauge and would like the stock gauge to still work, so im guessing im still going to have to keep the little box. Would it be possible to extend the vacuum tube to the sensor so i can hide the sensor or does it need to be a certain length?

Thanks

will be fine to extend it - technically, it will make the gauge response slower, but it's so crap anyway you'd never notice!!

Or remove it and the guage and fit an NA speedo

That sounds like a good idea, didnt think of that. Is it possible to buy a single dial face?
