well apart from the odd coil here and there needing replaced, brake calipers, Hicas removed, Oil cooler rad fins bent, sump dented (previous owner grounded possibly), Centre propshaft doughnt broken ? (sussed the vibration from gear box).

nothing sort of big big priced until........(advised)

both rear inner sill's corroded.

Big oil leak (possible rear main oil seal).

now the guy has said the rear oil seal is approx 16hours labour and also said he reckons the sills been done once already so its pointless doing it again.

I'm so stuck right at this moment what ya think? :headvswal

prop bearing

centre carrier bearing

propshaft carrier bearing

something along those lines.

dont think they are cheap, around the 100 mark maybe more.

i was lucky the previous owner bought one and left it in the boot so im still to change mine.

it will be the prop bearing , take a good look at it to see what is wrong, a alternative is a lightweight single piece prop as these are a decent price now, the rear seal isnt easy but like jimmy said 4hrs should do it but check to see if its not a turbo oil feed pipe, get car on ramps and use some brake cleaner to clean off oil then check to see where its coming from remember if your pcv valves are sticking open your bottom end can become pressurised and oil can get pushed out of the rear seal, coil packs can be picked up for a tenner each at the moment, did he check and tension the connectors before pronouncing em dead?, the " ripples " are factory stonechip and the man is talking *****x , find a good garage take it to them and tell him to piss off

where are you looking for them? I only find mjp's and all others seem to be part used from google.

I will try the brake cleaner friday/saturday once i get on the ramps and got some daylight, will take some pics also :D.

with the coil packs he said the wiring was all crappy on them but i did say to him i would be replacing alot as we go on. but back to the sills I checked them and the look/sound ok although it has been grounded at somepoint as the sump and plates on bottom have some dents also. As for the garage imma ask a few about here as I dont wanna risk driving it to nexus in southend its a bit of a trek in a car with the propshaft problem lol.

All fun and games huh :nana2:

I got mine second hand of here , polished up the frames then realised Z centre do chromed plates and dont need them now as I am going to buy some of those, if you need any spare ones give me a shout as I have 6 going, ( car they were removed from they were all working fine) if you want all six you can have the polished plates as well and i will charge you what i got charged only a tenner a piece, if you take the polished plates they will want sealing as they are steel and will tarnish qiuckly
