Just a quick one really.

 

I think its time to step down as REO for South Central.

 

I’ve got about as much motivation as a slug due to personal issues and am not doing anyone else any favours.

 

South Central are a great bunch – we’ve had some fantastic meets over the last couple of months (thanks mainly to the members for making an effort).

 

Think its time to let go and let someone else have a go at keeping the South Centrals reputation where it is, before I wreck it.

 

I really am sorry guys. I just don’t want to let you down anymore than I am right now.

 

Hopefully someone steps up – if not I’ll keep at it and do my best until we get a volunteer.

 

Thanks for all your support at the meets I've arranged and no doubt Big Kim will be popping a post up looking for someone new.

Glad to hear that, but really sorry to hear you're stepping down, you've done us proud :bow: , especially as you were following on from Gaz, whoever takes this on has got a lot to live up to!!

Really, really sorry to hear you're having a rough time in your private life :( It's completely understandable that you feel the need to hand the REO position over, you must do what is right for you, likewise, if that means you holding onto the position, and us bearing with you until better times come along, then I'm sure that would be fine aswell ;)

You are a great asset to the club (especially SC), and although I haven't met you yet, you seem like a great girl.. :bow:

Keep your chin up hun, and don't hesitate to PM, email etc if you need an online chat anytime :)

athene remember we can all chip into help if its just a temp time you need but if you really want to give it up then we all understand. your an awesome person and a friend and i hope whatever is causing you concern will soon pass and you can start to sort yourself out again.

We seem to get through more REO's in the SC region than I have hot dinners. We really are not a crazy bunch and have a reputation for having great meets, to the extent that we often enjoy the company of many 'visitors' from other regions at our meets.

 

Much of this is due to the great REO's we've had recently and Athene has certainly been one of our best. Many, many thanks Athene for the hours of work you have put into our region and I am really sorry we are losing you, I hope and trust that you will continue to attend our future meets. :bow:

 

A warning to whoever puts their name forward as Athenes replacement....she will be a hard act to follow and our expectations are high that the SC region will continue to have the highest reputation for the best meets of the 300zx.co.uk Club. (when's the next one by the way? :nana2: )

You shouldn't feel like you've let anyone down, Athene - anyone sensible realises that sometimes 'real life' gets in the way of less important things (and, yes, an Internet car club is less important than real life ;))..

 

And if anyone doesn't realise that, I'll give 'em a clip round the ear for ya ;) but I'm pretty sure everyone would agree with me on that - no clipping required.

Don't be daft Athene - you haven't let anyone down, we all know how serious you take the club and SC so we know (and appreciate) that this isn't a decision you've taken lightly. I'm a great believer in "things happen for a reason" so hopefully your problems etc. will work out for the best in the end.

From what I read I hope I do half as good job as you have as the new Welsh REO. Think I need some tips as the members are a liitle shy in coming forward for meets here :nelson:
